Bei handgemachtem Sushi à discretion, guten Gesprächen und dem einen oder anderen Glas Sake (Japanischer Reiswein) lässt sich leicht vergessen, dass Zürich nicht von Meer umgeben ist. Für lediglich 15 Franken bist du mit dabei! Falls du aber Spass am Sushi Rollen hast oder es lernen willst, kannst du für nur 5 CHF gerne um 16:30 Uhr vorbeikommen und helfen.

Gourmets listen up! On 24.10.2018 at 6pm AMIV will be hosting the legendary sushi-night for you in the charming city of Zurich. Dining on handmade all-you-can-eat sushi and having one two glasses of sake (Japanese rice wine), you will be caught in the vibes of Japan and forget that Zurich is in fact not surrounded by the sea, for merely 15CHF! Job Offer

Der VSETH ist die hochschulpolitische Vertretung der über 20’000 Studierenden an der ETH Zürich. Gleichzeitig ist er mit seinen Kommissionen und Fachvereinen allgegenwärtig im studentischen Leben abseits der Vorlesungssäle, organsiert diverse Events und bietet eine Vielzahl an Dienstleitungen.

Um dies zu ermöglichen, verlassen sich etwa 1500 Freiwillige regelmässig auf die IT-Infrastruktur des VSETH. Diese Infrastruktur soll vollständig modernisiert und im Funktionsumfang massiv ausgebaut werden. Dafür ist geplant, die bestehenden Dienste von unseren Servern zu einem externen IT-Infrastrukturanbieter umzuziehen und dort auf dem aktuellen Stand der Technik weiterzuentwickeln.

 

# AUFGABEN

* Unterstützung bei Planung und Aufbau einer neuen IT-Infrastruktur für den VSETH
* Onboarding bei einem (Cloud-)Plattform-Anbieter
* Nachhaltiger Aufbau einer Lösung unter Verwendung von Configuration Management
* Migration von bestehenden Services und Daten auf die neue Infrastruktur
* Dokumentation der bestehenden und neuen IT-Infrastruktur Support für die NutzerInnen der IT Infrastruktur

 

# ANFORDERUNGEN

* Erfahrung im Aufbau und Betrieb von IT-Infrastruktur (Linux, bestenfalls Kubernetes)
* Motivation sich in ein komplexes technisches Umfeld einzuarbeiten
* Erfahrungen mit Configuration-Management Tools wie Ansible, Puppet oder Chef
* Zuverlässiges Arbeiten und Kommunizieren

Troubleshooting – the core competence of our technical service department of ABB Turbo Systems Ltd. in Baden. Our turbochargers are mounted on cargo vessels, cruise ships, power stations, even on railway applications and many more. It is our daily business to investigate and to resolve our customer’s technical requests concerning our products around the globe.

 

Sometimes solving these reported problems is very time consuming and complex, as the path to seek for a solution is not obvious, and often ends outside the turbocharger. To increase our efficiency, our competences and in the end our customer’s satisfaction we develop a modular growing troubleshooting tool which facilitates and structures the problem-solving process for us and our global network. In this position you will help the team for 4 up to 6 months.

Tasks

- Expand the current tool’s underlying knowhow database by

- identifying and contacting responsible experts for different new technical topics

- preparing and conducting knowhow workshops to gather relevant and precise technical information

- understanding and documenting complex correlations and contents and structuring them

- Optimize and improve the existing tool contents

- Define and set standards for content documents

- Align wording and terms

- Support planning, implementation and roll out of future tool versions

Requirements

- ETH/FH ongoing technical studies (with preference mechanical engineering or similar)

- Self organized team player with high level of accuracy

- Interest to work in a multinational company and diverse team

- Willing to work 4-6 months

- Strong and mature command of German and English, both written and spoken
